That's a wrap on Kites for Kids 2023.
KidsVoice's signature awareness event, Kites for Kids, returned May 13, 2023, to Carnegie Science Center. Thousands of guests passed through the doors of Carnegie Science Center, including many KidsVoice clients.
KidsVoice staff and volunteers took time to talk to guests about our work and led visitors of all ages through crafts and activities on multiple floors:

What is Kites for Kids?
Kites symbolize the potential for a child to soar and a hope for a world full of happy childhoods. Our signature awareness event, Kites for Kids, invites our clients—children and youth in Allegheny County who are in the foster care system—to anonymously have a fun day learning and exploring at Carnegie Science Center alongside the community at large.
During the event, kites decorated by our clients adorn the Center's signature ramp, providing a glimpse into these children's lives. Special games and activities presented by KidsVoice and our sponsors add a bit of extra fun.
Over the years, Kites for Kids has welcomed thousands of families, and raised awareness and much-needed resources to protect our most vulnerable citizens. After two years of virtual programming, we were excited to be able to join together in-person again in spring 2022 for our 16th annual event! Watch a video recap of our 2022 Kites for Kids here.
